Activision Publishing today released an all-new Call of Duty game for mobile and tablet devices titled Call of Duty: Strike Team. Available on iOS for $7! The game requires iOS 6.0 or newer.
Call of Duty: Strike Team is compatible with and optimized for iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad mini, iPad 2, iPad (3rd generation), iPad (4th generation), and iPod Touch (5th generation). iPhone 4 and iPod Touch (4th generation) are not supported.
Call of Duty: Strike Team features Campaign mode, which takes players around the world, as well as Survival mode, where players can fight off waves of increasingly difficult enemies. Users can compete against friends and track their achievements through leaderboards. Call of Duty: Strike Team is set in the year 2020. Call of Duty: Strike Team allows players to "fully" customize their squad's loadouts and abilities before entering into combat in "diverse gameplay environments". No mention was made of a release for Android or Windows devices.
Even though the Xbox one is coming out this November, Microsoft will still support the Xbox 360. The success over the past eight years have been amazing according to Microsoft. Not a lot of gamer's who own a Xbox 360 will not be getting an Xbox one due to pricing.
Microsoft chief marketing and strategy officer Yusuf Mehdi said this week that the platform will be supported through at least 2016.
"If you look at [Xbox 360], that platform lasted for seven to eight years and it's going to go for another three years. We are going to continue to invest in Xbox 360 and the two devices can work in concert. So it isn't like the day we ship the Xbox One your [Xbox 360] won't work," Mehdi said. "We will continue to support it. In fact, we're going to ship over one hundred new games on Xbox 360. So you'll be able to still play your games, just not on the same exact box.".
Mehdi had also explained that the arrival of the Xbox One is not a death knell for the Xbox 360 by any stretch, noting that Microsoft plans to ship over 100 new games for the system.
In my mind, this is a smart move on Microsoft's end. They're allowing gamer's time to play on the Xbox 360 and not just forcing people to buy a new console right off the bat.
Today, Microsoft has came threw today with informing us the launch of their next generation console the xbox one. Many fans like myself are excited to here the launch of November 22nd 2013!
Users can see the ad on xbox live home page informing us November 22nd will be the launch. Many users did in fact think Microsoft would do a launch before Sony's play station 4 which launches November 15th which was not the case. Fans were predicting the launch would have been on 11-12-13 (which would have been sick) or an early November launch with the hit franchise Call of Duty. Microsoft has also confirmed the xbox one is now in the assembly line ready for launch! The xbox one will be available in 13 different country's sold by retailers all around!

The next Xbox 360 firmware update will push through Microsoft's switch from MS Points to local currency, the company announced earlier today. As a result, Microsoft will also be phasing out its current stable of MS Point gift cards in favor of "Xbox Gift Cards" that, as you might image, fulfill a similar role.
The switch from Point cards to Gift Cards is set to take place sometime late this year, although whether that is indicative of when the currency conversion firmware update is slated to hit remains to be seen. Existing MS Point cards and codes will continue to be honored "until further notice" - any redeemed after the switch will be converted to "an amount of local currency equal to or greater than the Marketplace value of those points.
